Bent over double picking asparagus!

The Farmer's WifeSeptember 29, 2020

If you are an asparagus lover, then you will be delighted with our organic, spray free asparagus. In late winter to early spring, the spears shoot out of the bare ground for Hapi to harvest.

Ranging in size from pencil thin to thicker stems, he also grows a beautiful purple variety to add colour to your plate. In warmer weather if you watched closely, you could almost see the asparagus grow!

Why are our bunches so long? As we don't sell into the wholesale markets, Hapi is able to leave the full length of stem on your bunches, giving you plenty more to play with. Test the tenderness with your knife...you'll soon know where to cut. Lovely served lightly steamed in a salad, baked into a spring tart, or even added to a light pasta sauce.

Asparagus is low in calories and loaded with nutrients including fibre, folate and vitamins A, C and K.

To celebrate we have asparagus on sale this week for our early orders.
